The city of Nagpur secured a delicious new entry into the record books on World Egg Day as the Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University (MAFSU) successfully prepared a massive bhurji (scrambled eggs) using an astonishing 5,001 eggs.
The event, held to celebrate World Egg Day, saw students and faculty of MAFSU come together for the monumental culinary feat. The challenge was a tribute to the nutritional value of eggs and a grand display of culinary scale.
A large team worked to crack, whisk, and cook the sheer volume of eggs, creating a single, enormous serving of the popular Indian dish. The successful preparation and serving of the massive dish officially established a new world record for the largest bhurji ever prepared.
Following the record-breaking attempt, the entire quantity of the egg bhurji was distributed to attendees, ensuring a massive celebration to mark the global recognition of the humble, yet powerful, egg.
