World’s Most Expensive Coffee at DH2,500 Launched by Dubai Café Roasters

A homegrown Emirati coffee shop, Roasters, has officially set a new Guinness World Record for the world’s most expensive cup of coffee, priced at a staggering DH2,500 ($680 USD). The record was cemented on September 13 at the company’s flagship location in Downtown Dubai.

The record-setting coffee is a hand-poured V60 brew made from an extremely rare batch of Panamanian Geisha beans sourced from the Esmeralda farm. These beans are prized by connoisseurs for their delicate floral aroma and layered tropical fruit notes.

To transform this rare coffee into a record-breaking experience, Roasters designed a multi-sensory presentation. The coffee is prepared tableside by a dedicated barista using a temperature-controlled kettle and a V60 dripper. It is then served in a handcrafted Edo Kiriko crystal glass from Japan, known for its intricate patterns. To complement the brew, guests receive a set of flavor note cards along with accompaniments infused with the same Geisha beans, including tiramisu, chocolate ice cream, and a special chocolate piece.

Konstantin Harbuz, co-founder and CEO of Roasters, stated that the award “celebrates our team’s dedication and reflects Dubai’s growing reputation as a destination for exceptional coffee experiences.” The record also highlights Dubai’s emergence as a major player in the global specialty coffee market, a position solidified by the city’s purchase of the entire 20-kilogram lot of the winning Geisha beans from the “Best of Panama 2025” auction.
