World’s Largest Jungle Safari To Open In Gurugram Haryana

India is set to become home to the world’s largest jungle safari park, as the Haryana government prepares to launch an ambitious project in the Aravalli range near Gurugram. Spread over a vast area of 10,000 acres, the safari will surpass even the Sharjah Safari Park in the UAE, currently the world’s largest outside Africa.

The Aravalli Jungle Safari, spearheaded by the Haryana Forest and Wildlife Department, will feature several zones, including a herbivore safari, carnivore safari, bird aviary, reptile park, and aquatic life zone. It aims to promote eco-tourism, generate employment opportunities, and enhance environmental awareness.

Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav, along with Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, lauded the initiative, calling it a “milestone in wildlife conservation and tourism.”

Expected to attract lakhs of domestic and international tourists annually, the jungle safari is envisioned to house native and exotic species in open enclosures designed to mimic their natural habitats, without compromising on their safety or the safety of visitors.

Once completed, the Gurugram Jungle Safari will not only be a haven for nature and wildlife lovers but also a major boost for India’s green tourism sector.
