JUNAGADH, GUJARAT, INDIA – July 26, 2025 – On the auspicious occasion of the 11th International Yoga Day, Udaseen Bidladass Guru Banarasidass, a revered 70-year-old Rishi from Bhavnath, Junagadh, has not only set one but two new world records in yoga, showcasing an extraordinary display of endurance and mastery. The remarkable feats took place on June 21, 2025, at the sacred Shree Pargateshwar Mahadev Mandir in Bhavnath Taleti.
Rishi Udaseen Bidladass first captivated observers by performing Padmasana (Lotus Pose) nonstop for an astonishing 3 hours and 16 minutes. This traditional cross-legged meditative pose is widely recognized for calming the mind, improving concentration, and promoting inner peace, making it a cornerstone of spiritual practice.
Not content with one record, the septuagenarian yogi then proceeded to set another formidable world record by holding the Sirshshashana with Padmasana (Cross-Legged Indoor Head Stand) nonstop for 1 hour and 10 minutes. This advanced inversion combines the mental focus of Padmasana with the physical challenge of a headstand, known for increasing blood flow to the brain, enhancing cognitive function, and deeply strengthening the core.
Both awe-inspiring performances were held at the Shree Pargateshwar Mahadev Mandir, drawing significant attention from devotees and yoga enthusiasts. The events were supported by the Vishwas Foundation, Rajkot, Gujarat, which commended Rishi Udaseen Bidladass for his profound dedication to yoga and his ability to inspire others.
His double world record achievement on International Yoga Day serves as a powerful testament to the limitless potential of the human spirit and the profound benefits of consistent yoga practice, proving that age is truly just a number when it comes to discipline and spiritual pursuit.
The World Record was officially Certified and Recognised by World Records India by Paavan Solanki, CEO of World Records India at Grand Ceremony at Rajkot, Gujarat organized by Vishwas Foundation and BolBaala Charitable Trust.
