Burak Yeter Sets World Record for Highest Altitude Guitar Performance at 55,000 ft Above Earth

In a breathtaking fusion of music, science, and sky-high ambition, internationally acclaimed DJ and music producer Burak Yeter has set a new world record for the Highest Altitude Guitar Performance, strumming his guitar live at an astonishing 55,000 feet (about 16,700 meters) above Earth.

Launched in a stratospheric balloon from Barcelona, Spain, Yeter’s performance was part of his bold and visionary “One Day In Space” project. From within a specially designed pressurized capsule, Yeter performed a stunning live guitar set while floating near the edge of space, surrounded by the blackness of the stratosphere and the curvature of the Earth below.

The feat has been officially recognized by the World Record Academy, marking a first-of-its-kind musical milestone in human history.

“This was not just about breaking a record—it was about uniting art and science to inspire a new generation,” Yeter said after returning safely to Earth.

The record-breaking event was made possible by the collaboration and sponsorship of several leading global brands, including:
Lif3, DJ Mag, Pioneer DJ, Ultramagic, Zero II Infinity, Stein Music, Five Hotels, Five Music, Adam Audio, We Rave You, and Ulysse Nardin.

The capsule, engineered for high-altitude performance, was equipped with advanced sound and safety systems, allowing Yeter to play in real-time while broadcasting visuals from the edge of space.

The “One Day In Space” mission represents a leap not only in entertainment but also in technology, symbolizing how creativity can reach new heights—literally. Yeter’s cosmic concert is now being celebrated as one of the most extraordinary musical performances ever attempted, capturing the imagination of fans worldwide.

From dance floors to the stratosphere, Burak Yeter has officially taken music to a whole new level—above the clouds and into the record books.
