17-Year-Old Girl Uses YouTube Tutorials to Break 5 Guinness World Records in Skating

In a remarkable feat of self-learning and determination, 17-year-old Janvi Jindal from Chandigarh has made history by breaking five Guinness World Records in freestyle inline skating — all by learning through YouTube tutorials.

Without any formal coaching, Janvi mastered advanced skating techniques by watching videos online and practicing relentlessly in local public areas. Her dedication paid off with five Guinness titles, including:

  • 27 in-line 360° spins in 30 seconds
  • Fastest two-wheeled slalom (20 cones) in 8.85 seconds
  • 42 one-wheeled 360° spins in 30 seconds
  • 72 such spins in one minute
  • 22 consecutive one-wheeled 360° spins

Janvi began skating in 2018 and trained under the guidance of her father, who also taught himself the sport to support her. She practiced at local spots like the Rose Garden underpass and Sector 22 pathways, often improvising her training methods.

In addition to her Guinness records, Janvi holds five India Book of Records titles and is credited with unique innovations like performing Bhangra on skates and executing freestyle routines at high-altitude passes like Khardung La.

Her story is not only a triumph of talent and hard work but also a shining example of how digital platforms can empower young people to chase extraordinary goals — even from their own backyards.
