On the occasion of World Quantum Day yesterday, QNu Labs, a pioneering Indian startup selected by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) under the National Quantum Mission, launched Q-Shield – touted as the world’s first and unique platform designed to fortify critical enterprise infrastructure with quantum-safe cryptography.
The innovative Q-Shield platform empowers businesses with seamless cryptography management across diverse operational environments, including cloud, on-premises, and hybrid setups.
In an official statement, the Ministry of Science and Technology highlighted Q-Shield’s integrated suite of services: “Q-Shield enables various services like Qosmos for key generation, QConnect for secured connectivity, and QVerse for secured collaboration.”
The Ministry further emphasized that the launch of this groundbreaking platform signifies a crucial step in India’s accelerating journey towards global leadership in quantum technology. Incubated at the IIT Madras Research Park in 2016, QNu Labs is rapidly revolutionizing the cybersecurity landscape with its quantum-safe solutions, strategically positioning India as a global frontrunner in the critical field of quantum cryptography.
This development underscores India’s commitment to advancing cutting-edge technologies that promise to secure the digital future against emerging threats.
