In a remarkable celebration of inclusivity and national pride, Special Olympics Bharat set a Guinness World Record for the most people running in place simultaneously (multiple venues)-II, with a total of 261 participants.
The historic event took place in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, as part of the nationwide initiative “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, commemorating 75 years of India’s independence. Special Olympics Bharat, a charitable trust dedicated to enriching the lives of children and adults with intellectual disabilities through sports and physical fitness, led this inspiring initiative.
Participants across various locations ran in place in unison, showcasing unity, energy, and the transformative power of sport. The effort highlighted the trust’s ongoing commitment to empowerment, health, and inclusion for those with intellectual impairments.
