In a landmark cultural and spiritual achievement, Gyanjivandasji Swami from Kundaldham, Gujarat, has set a new Guinness World Record for creating the largest manuscript, measuring an impressive 4 square metres (43.05 ft²).
The monumental manuscript is titled ‘Parbrahma Parmatma Purna Purushottam Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan’s SHIKSHÃPATRI’ and comprises 224 intricately crafted pages. This sacred creation was unveiled on 22 January 2022, in celebration of 195 years of the original text — authored by Lord Sahajanand Swami (3 April 1781 – 1 June 1830), the founder of the Swaminarayan Sampradaya.
The Shikshapatri is a revered scripture containing spiritual, moral, and practical guidance for devotees and mankind. It is read daily by millions of followers during their morning rituals, as instructed by Lord Swaminarayan himself. The creation of the world’s largest version of this sacred manuscript is a tribute to the timeless teachings and divine wisdom of Lord Swaminarayan, and reflects the deep devotion and commitment of his followers.
The manuscript was unveiled in the presence of thousands of devotees at ‘Swaminarayan’s Akshardham in Kundaldham’, marking a spiritually historic moment. The project not only pays homage to an iconic scripture but also aims to promote peace, ethical living, and the spiritual heritage of India on a global stage.
This remarkable accomplishment stands as a proud symbol of devotion, tradition, and the enduring legacy of Shree Swaminarayan’s teachings — now recorded in the world’s largest sacred manuscript.
