Hundreds of ghostly figures descended upon Brewery Square in Dorchester as part of a spooky spectacle to set a new world record for the largest gathering of people dressed as ghosts.
Clad in white bedsheets, 346 spirited participants joined the Halloween-themed event, complete with music, dancing, and eerie entertainment. The goal was to surpass the current record of 560, set by an Irish school in 2017.
Despite falling short of the target, the event was filled with fun and community spirit. This marked the second attempt in Dorchester, after last year’s rain-soaked effort saw just 204 attendees.
Organisers remain undeterred and hinted at trying again next year, with hopes of finally laying claim to the ghostly world record.
