Belgium’s Matthieu Bonne and Poland’s Patrycja Bereznowska delivered record-breaking performances at the 2025 UltraPark Weekend 48 Hour race in Pabianice, Poland, setting new men’s and women’s 48-hour world records.
Bonne covered an astonishing distance of at least 485.099 kilometers (301.426 miles), surpassing the previous men’s record of 473.495 kilometers (294.216 miles) set by Yiannis Kouros by over 11.6 kilometers (7.2 miles). This feat solidified Bonne’s place among the all-time ultra legends.
On the women’s side, Bereznowska logged 436.373 kilometers (271.149 miles), breaking Camille Herron’s previous record of 435.336 kilometers (270.505 miles) by more than one kilometer (0.6 miles), showcasing her consistency and resilience.
The race began at noon on Friday, May 30, and concluded on Sunday, June 1. Conditions were challenging, with temperatures nearing 30°C (86°F) and high humidity. However, the tree-lined course through Park Wolności provided some relief, making it a memorable event for runners and spectators alike.
