Ashby Netball Club, based in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire, is currently celebrating a monumental achievement, having officially set a new Guinness World Record for the most goals scored in a 24-hour period.
The historic tally was achieved during an arduous 24-hour netball marathon held by the club in February. After a period of meticulous verification, Guinness World Records has now officially confirmed their impressive feat.
Beyond the sporting triumph, the club’s incredible effort also served a noble cause, successfully raising a substantial £20,444 for Kids Village, a charity dedicated to supporting children in need.
“We’re so proud of the club and so proud of what the ladies did that day,” expressed an elated Carla Garey, one of the event’s organizers. The record not only showcases the dedication and athletic prowess of the Ashby Netball Club members but also highlights their profound commitment to community support and philanthropy.
