In a monumental effort to promote science and technology among the youth, Vigyan Gurjari, the Gujarat Unit of Vijnana Bharati, successfully organized a World Record event titled “Student Innovation Fest 2023 (SIF 2023)”, creating a lasting impact on the academic landscape of the state.
Spearheaded by Prof. Chaitanya Joshi, President of Vigyan Gurjari, and Shri Jignesh Borisagar, Joint Secretary, the event aimed to foster scientific temperament, innovation, and curiosity among students. This mega initiative saw the participation of 337 academicians, scientists, and industry experts from renowned universities, research institutes, colleges, and schools across Gujarat.
Together, these experts delivered inspiring and educational lectures on Science, Technology, and Innovation to an astounding audience of 35,000+ students across various institutions in Gujarat, marking a significant step toward scientific outreach and empowerment.
The event culminated in the establishment of a New World Record, recognized for the largest state-wide student engagement in science communication in a single festival.
Held at Gandhinagar, Gujarat, SIF 2023 not only celebrated the power of knowledge and innovation but also emphasized the crucial role of collaboration between academia and industry in shaping India’s scientific future.
