“Trailblazing on Two Wheels: First Woman to Cycle from Miao to Anini”

In a historic and inspiring feat, Ajita Italiya, born on 29th March 1979 and hailing from Gujarat, has been recorded in the World Book of Records as the First Woman to reach Anini from Miao on cycle, a route along the India-China border in Arunachal Pradesh.

Ajita embarked on this challenging journey with the mission to promote cycling and health awareness. Starting from Miao, a small town in Arunachal Pradesh, she pedaled through rough terrains and high-altitude regions to reach Anini, one of India’s most remote and inaccessible towns near the China border. She completed the 490-kilometer expedition in just 9 days, showcasing not just physical endurance, but immense mental strength and determination.

The journey was not just a personal milestone but a campaign aimed at encouraging people—especially women—to embrace fitness, adopt sustainable transport, and explore the unexplored. Her achievement also brings attention to the breathtaking yet lesser-known landscapes of Arunachal Pradesh.

Ajita’s extraordinary adventure has earned her a place in the World Book of Records (London), inspiring thousands across the country. Her courageous effort demonstrates how dedication to a cause and love for fitness can break barriers—both geographical and societal.

She continues to inspire women and fitness enthusiasts across India to take on new challenges and lead healthier, more active lives.
