In a remarkable display of devotion, innovation, and environmental consciousness, the Tejukaya Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Trust, Mumbai, set a New World Record by unveiling the largest eco-friendly Ganesha idol during the Ganesha Festival 2019.
Under the visionary leadership of Shri Namdev Hule, Mr. Avadhoot Tavde, and Mr. Sushant Shinde, the trust installed a majestic 24-foot high and 19-foot wide Ganesha idol, crafted entirely from recycled materials. The statue was inaugurated on 4th September 2019 at Tejukaya Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav, Lalbaug, Mumbai.

- 2 Tons of Used Paper
- 100 Kgs of Glue
- 50 Kgs of Wood
- 70 Liters of Natural Colors
The eco-conscious idol was conceptualized and designed by Shri Rajan Vitthal Zad and his team over a period of three months, showcasing not just artistic brilliance but a strong commitment to sustainable celebrations. The structure emphasized reducing environmental impact during the festival, aligning with growing movements for eco-friendly festivities across India.
The initiative by Tejukaya Mandal not only celebrates Lord Ganesha but also delivers a powerful message on waste reuse, climate responsibility, and cultural preservation. Thousands of devotees and environmental enthusiasts visited the pandal to witness this impressive blend of tradition and innovation.
