In a remarkable celebration blending creativity, wellness, and medical education, Shri B M Patil Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, BLDE (Deemed to be University), organized an extraordinary event titled “Swasthya Santulana Rangoli Mahotsav 2024”. Held at the BLDE Bangaramma Sajjan Campus, the event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 1,500 students and 54 faculty members from 22 departments, who together created a record-setting 252 Rangolis.
Each Rangoli, crafted in diverse shapes and sizes, focused on themes related to medical sciences and social awareness, showcasing the artistic flair and deep commitment of future doctors toward public engagement and emotional well-being.
The initiative, conceptualized and coordinated by Dr. Deepak Kumar Chavan and Dr. Nandini Muchchandi, was supported by the visionary leadership of Shri M.B. Patil (Chancellor), Dr. R.S. Mudhol (Vice-Chancellor), and Dr. Aravind Patil (Principal). The event aimed to promote artistic expression, stress management, and personal identity development among medical students, beyond their rigorous academic life.
The Mahotsav set a New World Record, marking a significant milestone in the intersection of healthcare education and cultural creativity.
