Largest Zumba Dance by Specially-Abled Children Sets New World Record in Nagpur

The Rotary Club of Nagpur, in association with Zin Manish Gohil from Mumbai, organized an inspiring Zumba Dance Program aimed at supporting and motivating specially-abled children in sports. The event was held at Mankapur Indoor Stadium, Nagpur, and saw a remarkable participation of 812 specially-abled students, including those who are intellectually disabled, blind, deaf and mute, physically handicapped, and multiply disabled.

Under the expert guidance of Zumba instructors and special educators, the participants performed a continuous 60-minute Zumba exercise-cum-dance session. Their enthusiastic performance not only highlighted their spirit and determination but also fostered inclusion and awareness about the capabilities of differently-abled individuals.

Supported by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Maharashtra, this event successfully set a new World Record for the largest Zumba dance session by specially-abled students at a single venue.

This landmark initiative reinforced the importance of sports and physical activity as a tool for empowerment, confidence-building, and social integration for specially-abled children across India.
