The Panchayat Samiti Education Department of Hinganghat successfully organized an impactful eye donation campaign titled “Drushtee Pariwar,” led by dedicated volunteers under the guidance of Mr. Lalitkumar Rupchand Barsagade, Block Education Officer.
In a remarkable show of commitment to social welfare, a total of 1,043 teachers from a single department pledged their eyes for donation within just six days. This extraordinary achievement was officially recognized as a New World Record on August 15, 2017, at the Education Department office in Hinganghat, Wardha District.
The campaign not only raised awareness about the importance of eye donation but also demonstrated the power of collective action in creating positive change for the community.
