In a remarkable celebration of the International Year of Millets 2023, Inner Wheel District 301, New Delhi, organized a unique world record event to promote health, sustainability, and millet awareness among students and the community.
Under the visionary leadership of District Chairman Dr. Urvashi Mittal, the team prepared and displayed 109 distinct millet-based dishes, using nine different varieties of millet grains, showcasing the incredible diversity, taste, and nutritional value of these ancient superfoods.
The grand display took place at Venkateshwar International School, Sector 10, Dwarka, and was supported wholeheartedly by the school faculty and Inner Wheel District 301 members. The initiative aimed to raise awareness, especially among young students, about the environmental and health benefits of millets, aligning with global efforts to revive millet consumption.
This extraordinary culinary achievement has officially been recognized as a New World Record on 24th November 2023, setting a powerful example of community-driven advocacy for traditional, healthy, and sustainable eating habits.
By combining nutrition education with creative engagement, Inner Wheel District 301 has contributed meaningfully to the global millet movement while inspiring students to value India’s agricultural heritage.
