IIT Gandhinagar Sets World Record with Largest Patriotic Painting Made of 25,000 Sticky Notes

In a spectacular tribute to the spirit of the nation on the 75th Republic Day of India, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar – Center for Creative Learning Student Group created history by unveiling the Largest Patriotic Painting of its kind.

The monumental artwork, measuring 40 feet in height and 40 feet in length, covered a massive 1600 square feet. What makes this creation even more remarkable is its unique medium — over 25,000 multicolored sticky notes, intricately arranged to form the patriotic masterpiece.

The record-setting feat was accomplished on 26th January 2024 at the IIT Gandhinagar Sports Complex, Palaj, Gujarat, and was officially recognized as a New World Record.

This inspiring initiative was led and supported by a passionate team including Prof. Manish Jain, Jay Thakkar, Manas Samir Mehta, Aryan Jigneshbhai Parmar, Krishna Arvindbhai Patel, Diya Jaimin Shah, Panchal Ansh Vijay, Sajidhusen A. Rathod, and other dedicated team members from the institute’s Center for Creative Learning.

This achievement not only demonstrated innovation and artistic brilliance but also reflected a deep sense of patriotism and creativity, celebrating India’s democratic spirit in a visually powerful and record-breaking way.
