In a remarkable initiative to promote Indian art, culture, and patriotism, Cygnet Public School (New), Narhe, Pune organized an extraordinary theatrical event titled “Discovery of India” (Bharat Ek Khoj) — setting a New World Record for the Largest Indian Drama ever performed.
The two-day program, held on January 24, 2024, witnessed the participation of over 2000 students and teachers from pre-primary to higher secondary classes, who brought to life the rich historical and cultural journey of India through dramatized episodes. The grand production spanned 4.5 hours, with multiple characters and stories performed simultaneously across the school campus.
The event was a resounding tribute to the nation’s heritage and was adjudicated by Dinesh Paithankar, Special Adjudicator of Maharashtra, who confirmed the record.
This large-scale cultural celebration not only honored the diverse legacy of India but also demonstrated the unity, talent, and creativity of young students and educators working in harmony to deliver an impactful performance.
