Current Status: Preserved as a museum ship in Hartlepool, UK.
Constructed from Malabar teak, known for its durability.

2. MV Safeena – India’s Oldest Passenger Ship
Built: 1942, at the Government Dockyard in Rangoon (now Yangon, Myanmar).
Owner: Ellon Hinengo Ltd, Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Purpose: Passenger transport.
One of the longest-serving passenger ships in India.
Operated in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
