The much-awaited India International Science Festival (IISF) 2025 kicked off with grandeur, reaffirming its status as the nation’s premier celebration of science, innovation, and knowledge-sharing. Organized annually by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, in collaboration with Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA), IISF continues to inspire millions, especially the budding young minds of India.
This year’s edition, themed “Science for Sustainable Future: Empowering Youth for Global Leadership”, brought together students, scientists, researchers, and educators from across the country and around the world. A hallmark of IISF, the festival once again embraced its tradition of attempting and achieving record-breaking events, setting new benchmarks that not only celebrate India’s scientific spirit but also serve as a powerful motivational platform for school students.
From creating the world’s largest science practical class to assembling the biggest model solar system display, the record-setting activities captivated young participants and emphasized hands-on learning. These events have become a vital part of IISF’s mission—to demystify science and foster a culture of curiosity and innovation among students.
Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Jitendra Singh inaugurated the festival, highlighting the pivotal role of science festivals like IISF in fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) powered by scientific temper and technological prowess.
With workshops, exhibitions, interactive lectures, and competitive events spanning diverse fields—from biotechnology and space science to artificial intelligence and environmental sustainability—IISF 2025 not only celebrates scientific achievements but also cultivates future leaders who will drive India’s progress on the global stage.
