“Electric Thunder: EV Bike Sets Guinness World Record in Historic Ride”

In a stunning milestone for green mobility, an Indian-made electric bike has zoomed into the Guinness World Records, setting a new global benchmark for the longest distance covered by an electric motorcycle on a single charge.

The revolutionary vehicle, developed by VoltEdge Motors, completed an astonishing 1,200 kilometers without a recharge, cruising through highways, city streets, and hilly terrain — all while maintaining top energy efficiency. The feat was verified and officially certified by Guinness World Records this week.

“This record isn’t just about distance — it’s about redefining what’s possible for sustainable travel,” said Rajat Mehra, CEO of VoltEdge Motors.

Dubbed the “VoltEdge X1”, the record-breaking bike runs on an advanced solid-state battery with AI-optimized energy management. Its intelligent motor and lightweight carbon fiber body contributed to exceptional range and performance during the record attempt.

Engineers say the bike maintained an average speed of 70 km/h while consuming minimal power — a breakthrough moment for electric vehicle technology.

“We’ve worked for three years to create something that could push boundaries, and today, we’ve done it,” said Ayesha Khan, lead engineer on the X1 project.

Guinness World Records adjudicators tracked the entire journey using GPS telemetry and verified the battery status post-run. The achievement has been recognized in the “Longest Distance Travelled by an Electric Motorcycle on a Single Charge” category — breaking the previous record of 965 km held by a European manufacturer.

“This record is a game-changer,” said Emily Hart, Guinness World Records spokesperson. “It sets a new global standard in EV innovation.”

The announcement has created waves across the global automobile and environmental sectors. India’s Ministry of Renewable Energy hailed the achievement as a major step forward in the country’s transition toward clean energy.

Social media has been abuzz with pride and excitement, with #VoltEdgeX1 trending on X (formerly Twitter), and enthusiasts calling it the “Tesla of Two-Wheelers.”

VoltEdge Motors has announced plans to roll out a limited-edition model of the X1 in late 2025, while also preparing to take the tech global. A partnership with international distributors is already in the pipeline.

“This is just the beginning,” Rajat Mehra added. “We aim to inspire the next wave of innovation in electric mobility.”
