“Mondo Duplantis Shatters Pole Vault World Record for the 11th Time!”

Armand “Mondo” Duplantis has once again redefined the pinnacle of pole vaulting by setting a new world record of 6.27 meters at the All Star Perche meet in Clermont-Ferrand, France. This achievement, marking his 11th world record, occurred on February 28, 2025.

The 25-year-old Swedish athlete showcased exceptional form, clearing heights of 5.65m, 5.91m, 6.02m, and 6.07m—all on his first attempts—before surpassing the 6.27m mark. His previous record of 6.26 meters was set in August 2024.

Coinciding with his athletic triumph, Duplantis ventured into music by releasing his debut single, “Bop,” under the moniker “Mondo.” The track played in the arena as he achieved his record-breaking jump, adding a personal touch to the event. His fiancée, Desire Inglander, expressed her amazement at his dual accomplishments, stating, “You are not real.”

Reflecting on his performance, Duplantis shared his aspirations: “I have always dreamed of jumping over 6.30 meters, and I believe I am getting closer to that goal.”
