The Marrakech International Storytelling Festival in Morocco achieved a Guinness World Record by hosting the longest continuous storytelling session, lasting 80 hours and 35 minutes.
This remarkable feat involved over 100 storytellers from around the world, who shared tales in various languages, including Arabic, French, English, and Spanish. The event took place at the iconic Jamaâ El Fna Square, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its rich cultural heritage.
The festival’s artistic director, John Row, expressed immense pride in the accomplishment, stating, “This achievement is a testament to the enduring power of storytelling and the vibrant cultural tapestry of Marrakech.”
