The Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj is set to witness three major Guinness World Record attempts on February 24 and 25, focusing on cleanliness, art, and transportation.
February 24: Massive Cleaning Drive
A coordinated effort involving 15,000 sanitation workers will undertake a synchronized street-cleaning campaign across designated roads, including Sangam Lower Road and Akhada Road. This initiative aims to set a record for the largest simultaneous street-cleaning operation.
February 25: Handprint Painting Event
On the following day, 10,000 participants will gather at the Ganga Pandal to create handprint paintings within an eight-hour timeframe. This artistic endeavor seeks to surpass a previous record set during Mahakumbh 2019, which saw 7,000 participants.
February 25: Shuttle Bus Operation
Additionally, over 500 shuttle buses will be operated simultaneously within the fair area. This attempt aims to set a new record for the largest coordinated shuttle bus operation, promoting efficient transportation during large-scale events.
These record attempts underscore the Mahakumbh’s commitment to promoting cleanliness, cultural expression, and sustainable practices on an unprecedented scale.
