GSB Community’s Musical Tribute to Srimad Sudhindra Tirtha Swamiji Achieves World Record

In a remarkable tribute to Srimad Sudhindra Tirtha Swamiji, the 20th pontiff of the Kashimath Guruparampara, the GSB community orchestrated a musical performance that has been recognized by the London Book of World Records.

The centenary celebrations, held on January 26, 2025, at a grand stage on Car Street in Mangaluru, featured 100 singers and 25 instrumentalists from various states. They collectively performed ten bhajans, led by renowned vocalists such as Puttur Narasimha Nayak and Mahalakshmi Shenoy, captivating an audience of over 8,000 attendees, with thousands more tuning in online.

Before each performance, Puttur Narasimha Nayak provided insights into the lyrics, music, and deeper meanings of the bhajans, enhancing the audience’s appreciation. The event was organized by the Youth of GSB and hosted by Sri Venkataramana Temple, with three months of preparation culminating in this historic achievement.

This milestone marks a significant chapter in the GSB community’s cultural legacy, honoring the memory of Srimad Sudhindra Tirtha Swamiji.
