World record: 1000 sand Santa Clauses sculptured at Puri by Sudarshan Pattnaik

BHUBANESHWAR: At least 1000 sand Santa Clauses were today sculptured at the Puri sea beach on the eve of Christmas by noted sand artist Sudarshan Pattnaik and his students.

The Santa festival started here this evening and will continue till January 1.

With 1000 Santa Clauses, Sudarsan is eying to break his 2012 Limca Book record of sculpturing 500 sand Santa Clauses.

It took Pattnaik and his team of 35 students from his sand art school four days and about 1000 tons of sand to carve a thousand sand Santa Clauses.

Sudarshan Pattnaik, a renowned sand artist, set a world record by sculpting 1,000 Santa Clauses at Puri, Odisha. This impressive feat was achieved as part of the Christmas celebrations and showcased Pattnaik’s skill in creating intricate sand sculptures on the beach. The record-breaking event not only highlighted his artistic talents but also contributed to spreading the holiday spirit in a unique way.
