,The 64 year old TTD-run Sri Padmavathi Womens’ Degree and PG college has added one more feather in its cap by entering International Wonder Book of Records and Telugu Book of Records on Thursday with 12-hour non-stop National Seminar in “Sri Vaishnava Bhakti Tatvam” which was conducted in college on Wednesday.
According to college Principal Dr Gnanakumari, the representatives of both the record books who were present in the fete, considered it as a unique one of its kind where in over 200 faculty, scholars and about 550 students, exclusively women, from various departments, presented their research papers on Ramayanam, Bharatam, Bhagavatham, Ramanujacharya, Annamacharya and Vengamamba for 12 hours without break from 8am to 8pm.
The officials of both the record books complimented TTD run Womens’ college for holding this seminar and enhancing spiritual knowledge among the students. “They have handed over the certificates to us. “We are thankful to our EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao Garu and JEO Tirupati Sri Pola Bhaskar Garu for offering us the encouragement on organising this novel fete. I also congratulate all our staff members especially the Telugu department and coordinator of the programme Dr Krishnaveni and students”, she added.
