“North Dakota Sets World Record for Launching Twelve Largest Firework Shells Simultaneously”

Mott, North Dakota, achieved a remarkable feat by setting the world record for launching the twelve largest firework shells simultaneously. This spectacular display featured twelve 16-inch mortar shells, each weighing approximately 16 pounds, igniting the night sky in a synchronized explosion.

The event was organized by the Hettinger County Activities Association in collaboration with Pegasus Illuminations, a local fireworks company. The primary goal was to raise funds for the Great Plains Food Bank’s Backpack Program, which provides meals to children in need. Approximately 5,000 spectators attended the event, contributing to the fundraising efforts.

Garrison Risner, a pyrotechnics professional from Pegasus Illuminations, described the experience as exhilarating. He noted that the blast was so intense he could feel the ground shake, and witnessing the sky open up across such a width was indescribable.

This record-breaking event not only showcased the community’s enthusiasm and support for charitable causes but also highlighted the impressive capabilities of modern pyrotechnics.
