In November 2024, Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh, hosted the Bhairav Ashtami Festival, during which an impressive 84,000-square-foot rangoli was created. This artistic endeavor earned recognition in both the Indian Book of Records and the Asia Book of Records.
The festival, organized under the guidance of National Saint Dr. Vasant Vijay Maharaj, Peethadhishwar of Parshva Padmavati Shakti Peeth Dham in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, along with the Akhil Bharatiya Batuk Bhairav Bhakt Mandal, showcased India’s rich cultural heritage by depicting spiritual gurus and national heroes within the rangoli.
Additionally, a unique devotional offering was made during the event, where 2,024 varieties of sweets were presented to Lord Bhairav, setting another world record. The festival featured an 8-pit Mahayagna conducted over nine days by 46 scholars from Kashi, emphasizing its spiritual significance.
The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including Madhya Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda, MPs C.P. Joshi and Sudhir Gupta, Rajya Sabha MP Banshilal Gurjar, and MLA Omprakash Saklecha, highlighting its prominence in the region.
