The Science and Innovation Student Fest of Vigyan Gurjari Bas been Featured In The World Records India Book

Vigyan Gurjari organized programs in 660 different schools, colleges, universities, and research institutions across 30 districts of Gujarat, from 1st August 2024 to 12th August 2024, focusing on Indian Science and Indian Scientists.

These programs involved discussions on how the contributions of Indian scientists have been useful worldwide. Scientists, educators, and industry experts from 660 different research institutions in Gujarat shared insights on the future of technology, research, and how to inspire students’ interest in science. Over 660 programs were conducted to engage students with science, discussing how upcoming technologies and research can play a role in building a self-reliant India.

The entire initiative was organized free of charge in schools and was aimed at increasing students’ interest in science, contributing to the goals of a self-reliant India. Over 70,000 students participated in these events. Additionally, tree plantation drives were held during each program, with more than 4,000 trees being planted.

This entire event has been recognized and listed in the World Records India Book, and the certificate was presented by Honorable Education Minister of Gujarat, Mr. Pradip Panseriya, and Pawan Solanki, President, to the founder of the event, Jigneshbhai Borishagar, who is currently the State Minister of Gujarat, and Professor Chetan Joshi, the State President, at Gandhinagar.

This entire initiative is part of the Student Innovation Fest held annually for the last four years. It began with 16 workshops, followed by 75 programs over 75 days at various locations, and later, a single day event with 361 programs. Vigyan Gurjari continues to make efforts to increase students’ interest in science and inspire them to pursue science subjects in their college education.
