The Jaipur Pink Panthers etched their name in the history books by winning the inaugural season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) in 2014, setting the tone for a new era in Indian kabaddi.
Led by their charismatic captain Navneet Gautam and backed by solid performances from star raider Maninder Singh, the Pink Panthers dominated the league stage with consistent and powerful performances. The team, owned by Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan, quickly became fan favorites for their aggressive style and flair.
In the final held at Mumbai’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium, Jaipur Pink Panthers faced U Mumba in a high-voltage clash. Jaipur secured a convincing 35–24 win, combining tight defense and explosive raids. Maninder Singh was the top scorer of the season, and his final performance earned him widespread acclaim.
