The Ministry of Railways has secured a place in the Limca Book of Records for having the highest attendance at public service events held at multiple locations. In fact, on February 26 this year, the Ministry of Railways organized an event in which 4,019,516 people participated at 2,140 locations. This event was held for the inauguration of railway bridges and the laying of foundation stones for railway stations by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Recognizing the vast efforts of Indian Railways, it has been recorded in the prestigious Limca Book of World Records.
Ashwini Vaishnaw Becomes Rail Minister for the Second Time
Meanwhile, Ashwini Vaishnaw has been appointed as the Rail Minister for the second consecutive time. He took office on Tuesday under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In addition to the Ministry of Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw has also been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. He welcomed the staff of the Rail Ministry.
PM Modi’s Thanks
After assuming office as the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Minister of State L. Murugan hugged Ashwini Vaishnaw. Ashwini Vaishnaw also thanked Prime Minister Modi. He said that the Prime Minister has an emotional connection with the railways. He added that the people have blessed PM Modi to serve the country once again. The railways will play a very significant role. Over the past 10 years, PM Narendra Modi has made substantial improvements in the railways. Whether it is electrification of railways, construction of new tracks, development of new trains, new services, or station redevelopment, these are major achievements of PM Modi in the past decade.
He further stated that the PM has focused on the railways because it is a means of transport for the common man and a strong backbone of our country’s economy, which is why railways receive so much attention. PM Modi has an emotional connection with the railways.
